The International Peer Advisory Council is a group of international and domestic students dedicated to serving the international student population at The University of Alabama. Composed of both graduate and undergraduate students, IPAC helps mentor over 70 international students, fostering a more welcoming and inclusive community on campus. In addition to being peer leaders, IPAC members help facilitate events and activities for international students such as our Multicultural Coffee Hour, which features food and activities from a different country each week, creating space for intercultural dialogue. Other events that have benefitted greatly from IPAC's help include International Student Orientation, Evening Seminars, and other community service-based events.

Alabama Leads League with 40 Academic All-Big 12 Rowing Team Honorees Eight Crimson Tide rowers posted a 4.0 GPA, the most of any conference team

Alabama Swimming and Diving's Morgan Liberto Earns First Team Academic All-America Honors. The recent Crimson Tide graduate earned the honor for the second year in a row and was one of just two Southeastern Conference student-athletes to earn a place on the first team.

A total of 363 students enrolled in UA Early College during Spring Semester 2022 at The University of Alabama were named to the director's list with an academic record of 3.6 (or higher).

Alabama's Dylan Ray Named Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Freshman All-American. The right-hander is the Tide's first freshman All-America selection since 2020.

Alabama's Owen Diodati Selected to CoSIDA Division I Baseball Academic All-America Team. Diodati is Alabama baseball's first Academic All-American since 2007.

Forty-five students representing 30 majors from across campus have been selected for the new class of the renowned Capstone Men and Women. Capstone Men and Women serve as official ambassadors of The University of Alabama and ensure an extra measure of hospitality, making visitors feel they have experienced a truly exceptional place. They provide a warm reception for guests and help them gain a better understanding of all aspects of the University. Capstone Men and Women assist the University president's office, admissions and alumni during functions held on campus and in other locations, as well as host daily tours of the campus for prospective students and other visitors. Last year, they led more than 3,600 daily campus tours. Officers for the 2022-2023 academic year are Preston McGee, president; Ibby Dickson, vice president of operations; and Mya Nobles, vice president of administration.

Polly Mack Named All-America First Team by WGCA. The women's golfer graduated from the University of Alabama in early May.

A record number of UA students were awarded the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship with 21 selected to participate in study abroad programs during the most recent application cycle.

The Fulbright Program has selected 18 University of Alabama students for various awards for the 2022-2023 academic year. Five UA students received Fulbright Student Research Awards and 10 won Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship Awards. In addition, three students won Fulbright Summer Study Awards to Canada.

Tristan Maxson, who is pursuing a doctorate in chemical engineering, is one of 33 students nationwide to receive the Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship.

The Board of Directors of Alpha Lambda Delta is pleased to announce Ashley Purcella from The University of Alabama was awarded a James G. Stemler Study Abroad Scholarship in the amount of $2,000.

University of Alabama students advance the boundaries of knowledge and expression through their scholarly research and creative projects, and every year hundreds of students from across campus share their work with the community at the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Conference. Judges select the top projects in each of the following categories: business, computer science and management, education, engineering, fine arts and humanities, health sciences, life sciences, mathematics, physical sciences, social sciences and virtual presentations. An overall top paper award is also given. The 2022 URCA award winners represent a variety of colleges, departments and majors.

The Blackburn Institute's 2021 Cohort Daniel Community (DCS) Scholars team was selected as an Outstanding Student-Initiated Engagement Effort for 2022 by The University of Alabama's Council on Community-Based Partnerships. This award recognizes the group's effort in voting rights restoration work in the Tuscaloosa community.
